Tooling

Akron Gear carries thousands of hobs and cutters in both English and metric pitches. This insures that we will have the tooling to cut nearly any gear that you may have a requirement for. We also have the ability to have unique tooling manufactured for us to meet the pitch requirement of odd gear sizes.

You can also avoid costly OEM replacements by allowing Akron Gear to "standardize" gear specs for a particular application.

Materials

Akron Gear can manufacture gears from all grades of steel, iron, plastic, micarta, fiber, brass, bronze and more. Tell us what you have and we can make it, or tell us the details of your application and the engineering staff at Akron Gear will assist you in choosing the highest quality, most economical solution for your application.

Quantities

From one piece to a thousand, Akron Gear can manufacture it. Although we are set up as a job shop specializing in one or two piece runs, we have never been intimidated by larger quantities. We have the CNC equipment to handle it, as well as a custom designed shop management software that tracks every order during it's course through the manufacturing process.
